Carrington Academy Students Donate Food & Handmade Cards to Community

Students held a food drive and created cards to spread cheer this holiday season

Students at Carrington Academy in Braselton recently donated dozens of food items to the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, a nonprofit that aims to address hunger, health and quality of life by serving those in need throughout North Georgia. Throughout the past few weeks, students hosted a food drive to help stock the organization’s shelves and provide meals to local families in need. After the collection, students helped sort the items for delivery to the organization.

In addition to the food drive, students created cards for residents at a local senior center to help brighten their day. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.
