Dunwoody Girls Win State Cross Country Championship

The girls overcame the wet weather and great competition to repeat as champions.

Dunwoody High’s girls’ cross country team has won their third state championship in four years.

The team is the most decorated squad in DeKalb County history, according to their website.

Samantha Cameron is the second individual state champion for the school, following in the footsteps of her sister, Alex, who won the crown in 2012. Ansley Heavern and Ann-Marie Sills will finish the cross country careers having run on three state championship teams.

The boys cross country team improved on their 21st place showing in 2014 by finishing 19th.
