Military Times magazine ranked the university alongside more than 5,300 colleges and universities in the country eligible for consideration.

The publication provides the nation’s largest and most comprehensive ranking of schools for military service members and veterans, helping them make informed decisions about career planning and how to use their education benefits earned through military service.

“It is such an honor to have Military Times rank Georgia State University as a top veteran-friendly school,” said Mark Eister, director of Georgia State’s Military Outreach Center.

“We need to be willing to reinvent ourselves every semester to better serve our military students, and 2020 proved just how necessary that was.  The pandemic, coupled with numerous updates to veteran legislation, motivated us to be more flexible and innovative in serving our military-connected students.”

This is the 10th year Military Times has published its college ranking, which provides details about a school’s costs, programs, policies and services that affect military-connected students.

The ranking also uses federal data from the U.S. Department of Education, Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense in determining its rankings. The rankings are posted at colleges.militarytimes.com
