Georgia Weather Forecast: Cooler, With Some Rain This Week

ATLANTA, GA — It's not quite going to feel like fall this week in metro Atlanta. But with temperatures cooling off every so slightly, we might be getting our first hints of it.

High temperatures this week are only expected to get up into the low 80s, with a couple of days when meteorologists say the high will only be about 82. Low temperatures will dip down into the upper 60s or low 70s each night.

And those sunny skies we've had the past few days? Well, you can forget about them. We'll be back on north Georgia's regular late-summer schedule, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms every day starting Tuesday.

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Northeast wind around 10 m.p.h., with gusts as high as 20 m.p.h. Monday night, mostly cloudy, with a low around 67.

Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83. Wednesday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a low around 70.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 82. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Friday night, a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.
