Brace for Subzero Wind Chill This Week

Starting tonight, bundle up. And expect some snow, too. Here's a look ahead at the c-c-cold week. Plus, Saturday snowfall measurements.

Bundle up, because tonight begins the coldest week of winter weather, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Wind chill values dip as low as minus 10 degrees, with winds of 10 to 15 mph and occasional gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday brings a 40 percent chance of snow after 4 p.m. and a wind chill as low as 8 degrees below zero. Winds of 5 to 10 mph. In the evening, winds could gust as high as 25 mph and the chance of snow increased to 60 percent.

  • Tuesday: Snow likely before 7 a.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 14. Wind chill values as low as 7 degrees below. Blustery, with a west northwest wind around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 7 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 4. Blustery, with a west northwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
  • Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of snow after 7 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 21.
  • Wednesday Night: A slight chance of snow before 7 p.m., then a slight chance of snow showers after 7 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 20. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
  • Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers before 7 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 35.
  • Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
  • Friday: A slight chance of snow showers after 7 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38.
  • Friday Night: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26.
