ALDI Returning To Oak Forest, Building Anew: City

OAK FOREST, IL — Construction will begin this summer on a new ALDI grocery store in Oak Forest, the City said Friday on social media.

The store will be located at 4250 W. 167th St., the City said. It will mark the brand's return to Oak Forest after its exit in 2020, when it relocated its Oak Forest store to a location in Crestwood. ALDI had previously operated in Oak Forest for 20 years.

"The City of Oak Forest is thrilled to announce the ground-up development of an ALDI Food Market at 4250 W. 167th Street," officials shared.

Officials said the city recently sold property at the northwest side of 167th Street and Kilbourne Avenue to make way for the "new-generation, 20,000-square-foot grocery store."
