Rollover Crash Results In DUI Arrest: Oswego Police

An 18-year-old man from Aurora was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a crash in Oswego, police said.

OSWEGO, IL — A rollover collision early Friday morning in Oswego resulted in a driving under the influence arrest, officials said.

One car was involved in the crash at 2:54 a.m. at the intersection of Route 30 and Goodwin Drive. An 18-year-old man from Aurora was arrested after and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, Oswego police reported in Friday morning's blotter.

The teen was driving eastbound on Route 30 at high speed when he struck a second car. The car he was driving flipped and rolled across both east- and westbound lanes, landing about 30 feet into the grass along eastbound lanes, spokesperson Cathy Nevara told Patch.

The Aurora teen had minor injuries, and the only other passenger had head injuries but was in stable condition, Nevara said. Both were transported to Rush Copley Medical Center.

The driver of the second car invovled was uninjured, Nevara said. The car that flipped was towed from the scene.
