3 Men Dead, 1 Injured In Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash In Worth Twp

WORTH TOWNSHIP, IL — Three are dead and a fourth person seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Monday evening in unincorporated Worth Township, Cook County Sheriff’s Police said.

Around 10:50 p.m., Cook County officers found a 2008 black Nissan pickup truck in a ravine near Harlem Avenue and 135th Street. Arriving officers found the driver, a 26-year-old man, and a 24-year-old male passenger unresponsive in the truck.

Two more occupants were ejected from the truck and found in the woods, where a 26-year-old man was also found unresponsive. All three were pronounced deceased at the scene. A fourth man, 24, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with serious injuries.

Palos Heights police assisted at the scene. A witness told officers that the truck veered off the roadway and rolled over.

One passenger was identified as Denis Torchez, 24, of Tinley Park, by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. The identities of the two other men have not been released.
