PALOS HILLS, IL โ€” Residents hoping to buy a French bulldog puppy that was posted on Facebook were scammed by the seller, who failed to produce the puppy, Palos Hills police reports said.

Officers responded to a deceptive practice report April 6 on the 8400 block of West 103rd Terrace. The residents told police they saw a post on Facebook advertising French bulldog puppies for sale.

After inquiring about the pup, the seller demanded $400 for proof of immunization, which the residents paid via Apple Wallet app. Police said the seller failed to produce the puppy and did not respond to residentsโ€™ inquiries.
