Safe Containing Jewelry, Cash Swiped In Residential Burglary

PALOS HILLS, IL — Burglars swiped a safe last Friday from a residence while the homeowners were out for a few hours, reports said.

Palos Hills police officers were dispatched to a home in the 8600 block of West 98th Place on March 15. The homeowners said they left the house for a few hours. When they returned, they noticed their garage door was locked and the back door pried open.

The homeowners searched the house for missing belongings. A safe containing cash and jewelry was stolen.
