Vandals Set Off Fireworks On Stagg Football Field, Causing Fires

PALOS HILLS, IL — Two people in masks set off fireworks on the Stagg High School football field causing several small fires, Palos Hills police reports said.

A witness told police they observed two people wearing ski masks enter the football field at 8055 W, 111th St. The pair proceeded to ignite fireworks in different containers around the field, causing several fires, police said.

Reports did not mention the time of day. Palos Hills police could not immediately be reached for comment.

The North Palos Fire Protection District extinguished the fires.
