Driver Faces 28 Charges in Crash That Killed Five

A Washington, D.C., man was in court recently for the October 2014 fatal crash in Oxon Hill.

A Washington, D.C., man faces 28 charges ranging from manslaughter to DUI for allegedly causing a crash that killed five people.

Kenneth Kelley was arraigned last week on the charges, which stem from an Oct. 10, 2014, car crash, according to online court records.

Five people died in the accident in Oxon Hill. Typhani Wilkerson, Tameika Curtis and two children died in one vehicle, while Dominique Green, a passenger in Kelley’s vehicle, also died.

Police say Kelley was drunk when his vehicle -- traveling at about 70 miles per hour --slammed into the back of the victims’ vehicle.

Kelley’s blood alcohol level was .14 at the time of the crash, WJLA reports.

Kelley is being held at the Department of Corrections. His bond is set at $500,000.
