Eight DUI Arrests Made During Sobriety Checkpoint

Prince George's County Police say eight drivers were charged with driving under the influence during a weekend check in District Heights.

Prince George’s County Police say eight arrests for driving under the influence were made during the weekend’s sobriety checkpoint in the 6600 block of Marlboro Pike in District Heights.

The DUI checkpoint was done with the assistance of Maryland State Police, the department said.

Out of the eight people who were arrested, five were taken into custody by the PGPD. The other three suspecs were arrested by state officers. All were charged with DUI.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the drivers who face charges.
