Man Charged with Murder of Girlfriend's 1-Year-Old Son

A Riverdale man allegedly inflicted multiple blunt force injuries to a baby while caring for him, police say.

Police have charged a Riverdale man with murder and child abuse in the death of his girlfriend’s 1-year-old son.

Osman Sesay, 28, of the 6800 block of Riverdale Road in Riverdale was arrested Wednesday by the Prince George’s County Police Department. Authorities say he was caring for one-year old Ahmed Jalloh when the child suffered fatal multiple blunt force injuries.

Sesay was in a romantic relationship with the boy’s mother, who left the child with Sesay Aug. 1 when she went to work. About 10:30 that morning, police were called to the home on a report of an unresponsive child. Jalloh was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Sesay is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree child abuse. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
