Retired Deputy Fire Chief Killed in Car Crash

Prince George's County Fire and EMS officials say Carla Blue died Saturday morning after a crash on Indian Head Highway.

A retired deputy fire chief with the Prince George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department died Saturday morning in a car crash, authorities said.

Mark E. Brady, public information officer for the department, said The announce the sudden passing of retired Deputy Fire Chief Carla D. Blue was killed in a crash on Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington. Blue retired in October 2009 after 20 years of service to the department.

“The Fire/EMS Department’s thoughts and prayers are with Carla’s family, friends and loved ones including her son, Jamar, a Prince George’s County firefighter assigned to the Calverton Fire/EMS Station,” Brady said.
