Garlic Breath Pizza in North Andover keeps things simple with a streamlined menu. High praise from the pizza world has followed.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — There's a pizzeria in Massachusetts that takes simplicity to the extreme, and for good reason.

Garlic Breath Pizza in North Andover functions with a small staff — two full-time employees — and an equally small menu, counting just four menu items.

Despite the limited options, the restaurant has quickly taken the pizza internet by storm, and it's about to get very busy for owner Justin Pronovost and crew.

We first stumbled upon Garlic Breath early this month after spotting a YouTube video from Smart Pizza Marketing, highlighting the pizzeria's small menu but high quality.

Pronovost explains in the video that he models the pizzas coming out of their kitchen after old-school, New York City-style slices but with modern pizzeria techniques.

And that's what they do. The menu consists of four things: pizza, a side of three meatballs, Caesar salad and, for dessert, a chocolate chunk cookie.

Recently, Pronovost shared on social media that Dave Portnoy, the Massachusetts-born owner of Barstool Sports turned highly influential pizza critic, visited the shop.

Portnoy has the power to turn any sleepy pizza spot — something Garlic Breath is not — into a bustling hub for foodies with any score, and gave Pronovost a word of warning about the impending video upon his visit.

"You're going to be busy," Pronovost quoted Portnoy as saying on Instagram.

Indeed, the video has yet to be posted and Garlic Breath is already swamped, with Pronovost sharing on social media that the restaurant "was only able to answer a fraction of the phone calls [Thursday] and online ordering only lasted a few hours."

Thursday's demand for pizza was "double the volume of an average Thursday," he shared.

Garlic Breath is clearly worth trying, but you may need to make sure to schedule your day around when you plan on stopping by or ordering, as things could be getting busy for the small yet mighty pizzeria.
