Survey Names Best Burger Spots In Massachusetts

MASSACHUSETTS — As Ron Swanson once said, "It's a hamburger made out of meat, on a bun, with nothing. Add ketchup if you want. I couldn't care less."

Ron knows that all burgers are delicious, but one survey went on an admirable quest to figure out which serves the most delicious in Massachusetts.

Taste of Massachusetts received more than 1,000 nominations of 220 restaurants. From there, they surveyed over 5,000 people.

"After 4 rounds of some very close voting, we finally have our Sweet 16 and our winner chosen by you!"

Here are the top 16 local eateries to grab a burger in the Bay State:

2. Tessie's Bar & Kitchen in Waltham and Walpole
3. R. F. O’Sullivan’s in Lynn (Closed)
4. Boston Burger Company in Salem, Boston, Somerville, and elsewhere
5. Fix Burger Bar in Worcester, Leominster, Marlborough
6. KKatie’s Burger Bar with several locations on the South Shore and Cape Cod
7. TJ Callahan’s in Tewksbury
8. Idle Hour in Quincy
9. The Blue Ox in Lynn
10. WuBurger in Braintree
11. Union Straw in Foxboro
12. Mr. Bartley’s Burger Cottage in Cambridge
13. Craigie on Main in Cambridge (Closed)
14. Red Heat Tavern in Bedford, Milford, Westboro, Wilmington
