Danvers Accepting Applications For 5th Annual Citizens Academy

The 10-session academy will provide residents insight into many aspects of town government.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers residents who would like insight into many different aspects of town government and how municipal departments work are invited to take part in the fifth annual Citizens Academy beginning on Sept. 12.

Applications are now available through Aug. 12 for the 10-week session that includes a variety of classes and interactive activities.

The academy is open to Danvers residents who are 16 years old as of July 1. Consideration will also be given to applicants who work, but don't live in, Danvers.
