The Burren

New Leaf is Kira Jewett on fiddle, Jacob Hagelberg on accordion and Jim Bunting on guitar, vocals and bouzouki. Together they play traditional tunes with tight, driving rhythm, interspersed with Jim's unique take on Ireland's song repertoire. Kira Jewett started playing classically when she was just three years old, but fell in love with the music of Ireland in her 20s and studied extensively with the virtuoso fiddler Brian Conway. She is the 2003 All-Ireland fiddle Slow Airs Champion. Singer and rhythm player Jim Bunting is an avid local session player who brings a sensitive touch and driving rhythm to the band. Jacob Hagelberg is a session musician who specializes in the BC style of button accordion. Diamond Blues, led by guitarist David Rubin, delivers high-energy, soulful, and exploratory performances in tribute to the one-of-a-kind, rock-gospel-soul-rhythm and blues group, Jerry Garcia Band Since 2021, Diamond Blues, an eclectic group of accomplished musicians passionate about honoring the legacy of Jerry Garcia, have taken Boston by storm. On this special evening, Diamond Blues will also be playing the songs of Trey Anastasio Band. Led by David Rubin on Vocals &amp; Guitar, Diamond Blues features Madolyn Allision on Vocals &amp; Percussion, Lucas Bateman on Drums, Ian Brenkle on Bass, Caroline Killoh on Vocals &amp; Keys, and a rotating Horn spot. “A musical collaboration that demands to be heard.” - Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine Zoe &amp; Cloyd - The innovative “klezgrass” music of Zoe &amp; Cloyd springs from the rich traditions and complementary styles of fiddler/vocalist Natalya Zoe Weinstein and multi-instrumentalist/vocalist John Cloyd Miller. Descending from a lineage of klezmer and jazz musicians, Natalya trained classically in her home state of Massachusetts before moving south in 2004. John, a twelfth generation North Carolinian and grandson of pioneering bluegrass fiddler, Jim Shumate, is a 1st place winner of the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Contest and the Hazel Dickens Songwriting Contest. Based in Asheville, NC, Natalya and John are also experienced educators and are both instructors in the traditional music program at Warren Wilson College. In 2023, Zoe &amp; Cloyd released their fifth studio album on Organic Records, entitled Songs of Our Grandfathers. The project is an homage to their respective bluegrass and klezmer roots and has been enthusiastically received with feature articles in Bluegrass Unlimited, No Depression and the Bluegrass Situation. Also in 2023, Zoe &amp; Cloyd performed at numerous events including Bluegrass Omagh in Northern Ireland, the Earl Scruggs Music Festival, the NC Folk Festival, and hosted A Swannanoa Solstice at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts. Evan Murphy - Through years of collaboration and creation, Evan Murphy has earned a reputation as an adventurous and thoughtful songwriter. Sung with an honest, unadorned folk tenor, and supported by rock solid guitar playing, Evan’s songs connect deeply and directly with listeners. He was a founding member of acclaimed string band Mile Twelve, and with them played some of the country’s finest music festivals and venues. In 2019 Evan released his first solo project, a roots rock EP titled Born Again Town. Brian Carroll of Red Line Roots wrote, “It isn’t often you come across an artist who can excel to a certain level of one genre, never mind entirely separate ones through different projects, but that’s just what Evan Murphy has proven.” Evan lives in Boston where he performs regularly and teaches guitar.

Harvard Medical School affiliate Hebrew SeniorLife, New England&rsquo;s largest nonprofit provider of senior health care and living communities, is accepting applications for new housing options at Center Communities of Brookline. CCB is completing construction on a new building at 108 Centre Street with 54 one-bedroom apartments and expanded community space. Residents will have access to a rich calendar of activities, health and fitness programs, social workers, and our award-winning <a href="https://www.hebrewseniorlife.org/services/programs/housing-and-care-integration" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">R3: Right Care, Right Place, Right Time program</a>, which integrates wellness teams into the community to proactively support health.
Affordable Housing Eligibility
Residency is open to all age- and income-qualified persons in accordance with the Fair Housing Act, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, and familial status. 
All of the new apartments are affordable senior supportive housing. You or a member of your household must be 62 years of age or older to live there. Income qualifications apply:

 <li>16 units are reserved for seniors earning at or below 30% of Area Median Income (AMI)*</li>
 <li>38 units are reserved for seniors earning at or below 60% of AMI</li></ul>
 
Mobile voucher holders are encouraged to apply.
*These units have a project-based subsidy and applicants must meet the requirements of the applicable subsidy programs.
Residents will be selected through a lottery system. Selection will follow the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development&rsquo;s Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity guidelines to ensure access for persons from communities that may historically have had difficulty accessing affordable housing.
Applications must be submitted by July 25, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. to be entered into the lottery.
