1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Oakland County Crash Involving Semi Truck: Reports

NOVI, MI — A woman was killed and a man was injured in a Tuesday night crash involving a semi truck in Novi, according to multiple reports citing police.

Police said a 20-year-old Farmington Hills man was driving a Cadillac in the Michigan-left turnaround toward northbound Michigan 5, just south of 14 Mile Road, around 9:40 p.m. when a semi truck smashed into his car, according to reports.

A 20-year-old Walled Lake woman, who was a passenger in the Cadillac, was killed in the crash, reports said.

The 20-year-old man, who was the driving the car, was injured in the crash and taken to a nearby hospital where his condition was not immediately known, reports said.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured in the crash, reports said.

The roadway was closed for hours as police were still trying to determine what caused the crash. The road has since reopened.
