Women of All Faiths in the Twin Cities Metro Invited to Bible Study

Women With Spirit Bible Study announces its twelfth program for the 2018-2019 season.  This year’s Bible study is “Songs of the Spirit, New and Old Testaments” and begins September 25 at Pax Christi in Eden Prairie. Dr. Matthew Skinner, Professor at Luther Seminary, will start the year with 10 weeks on the Gospel of Luke. Dr. Kelly Wilson from the University of St. Thomas will teach four weeks of Lamentations; and in the final six weeks of the study, Dr. Carolyn Pressler from the United Theological Seminary will lecture on “Psalms.”   

Besides these twenty lectures, Women with Spirit Bible Study also includes three Mornings of Reflection. Fr. Michael Joncas from the University of St. Thomas will present “The History of Crucifixes.” Julian of Norwich will be the subject for talk by Dr. Susan Myers, University of St. Thomas. Finally we will be led in Ignation spirituality exercises by author and spiritual director Jackie Bergan.   

Women of all faiths are welcome. Classes are held Tuesday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 with an hour lecture followed by small group discussions. Classes start September 25 and run through April 9. Tuition is $100 and covers lectures, Mornings of Reflection, and books.  Scholarships are available.  Online registration or a downloadable registration form is available at www.paxchristi.com/eventregistration.
