Jersey Shore University Medical Center Adds the Latest Technology in Robotic-Assisted Surgery

Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore University Medical Center announced the arrival of the da Vinci 5® surgical system, designed with the goal of further advancing the technology used in minimally-invasive surgical care. Da Vinci 5 is the most advanced and integrated platform so far in robotic surgical systems, designed to transform surgery to enable better outcomes, efficiency, and actionable insights. The system can be used for minimally invasive surgical procedures for urology, gynecology, thoracic, and general surgeries. With more than 150 design innovations, da Vinci 5 expands upon core system features, including; wristed instruments, 3DHD visualizations, intuitive motion control, and ergonomic design.

As part of Hackensack Meridian Health, Jersey Shore University Medical Center is one of three hospitals in the network to receive the da Vinci 5 robot. This significant investment represents the next chapter in the network’s robotic surgery journey. Da Vinci 5 systems are also now at JFK University Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center.
