Eat, drink, buy crafts, play cornhole at fall festivals

There are multiple Fall Festival events in Ocean County this weekend.

In Brick Township, Fall Fest is set for 1-7 p.m. Saturday at Windward Beach Park on Princeton Avenue, with a rain date of Sunday. It includes a cornhole tournament.

East Dover Baptist Church on Bay Avenue in Toms River is holding its Fall Fest Craft and Vendor Fair. The event runs from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The Island Heights Volunteer Fire Company will host Trucktoberfest from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday at the Wanamaker Municipal Complex. Food trucks, beer garden, fire pits, music and more. Rain date is Sunday.

The Harvest Arts Festival will take over Washington Street in Downtown Toms River from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. There will be food, merchandise and vendors with handcrafted items. Toms River Fire Company 1 will host a beer & wine garden. Local artists will be selling and displaying their works as part of a juried art show. There will be free activities for the kids including pumpkin painting. Live entertainment from local bands throughout the day.

Sip wines, relax with music and food at wine festival

The Sip In Autumn Wine Festival is set for noon-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Veterans Park in Bayville. Try any of nearly 100 wines from New Jersey wineries. There will be food trucks, live music, crafts and more. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 cash at the festival.

Rock out, raise funds for children's charity

The Loyal Order of Moose in Stafford Township will host Rocktoberfest from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday at the lodge, 120 Route 72. There will be four bands and kids' activities. Tickets are $25 and include barbecue food, German food, soda, beer, and wine. The event raises funds for David's Dream and Believe Cancer Foundation.

Help feed the hungry at the Cropwalk

The Whiting Cropwalk is set for 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 180 Route 539, Whiting. Walkers will walk in Cedar Glen Lakes, the church parking lot, or inside the church depending on their length of walking. Walkers are sponsored by people and these donations support a variety of projects including local food pantries. For more details, call the St. Stephen’s Chair, Stefanie at 732-350-2904.

Make strides, help women fight breast cancer

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising walk is set for Sunday in Point Pleasant Beach. The American Cancer Society’s 27th annual event will have its headquarters in the Silver Lake Parking Lot, corner of Ocean and Arnold avenues. Registration opens at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. All event participants, including children, need to register. Registration can be done online.
