Brick Recreation Preschool Program Still Taking Registrations

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its Jumpstart and Brightstart preschool programs that begin in September.

The Jumpstart program offers full-time and part-time options for children who turn 4 years old by Oct. 1, 2021.

The full-time class is Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m., and the part-time class is Monday, Wednesday, Friday from noon-2:30 p.m.

Children will participate in a full-year pre-kindergarten program consisting of academic and social skills.

The Brightstart program is for children who will be 3 years old by Oct. 1. Children must be toilet-trained to participate.

There is a three-day program on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or a two-day program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children will learn social and academic skills independently while participating in a variety of activities and projects.

A new offering is the Jr Bright Start program, for children who miss the Oct. 1 birthdate cutoff but are ready for a dropoff preschool experience. Children must be 2.5 years old and potty-trained.

This is a two-day afternoon per week preschool program. Children will learn social and academic skills independently while participating in a variety of activities and projects. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursdays.

All paperwork must be handed in by Aug. 25.

There are mandatory open house parent meetings on Aug. 25 at Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road:

• Jumpstart, 6 p.m.-6:45 p.m.
• Brightstart, 7 p.m.-7:45 p.m.
• Jr. Bright Start, 7 p.m.-7:45 p.m.
