Crash Closes Part Of Route 70 In Brick

BRICK, NJ — Route 70 westbound is closed at Van Zile Road on Friday due to a crash, police said.

Brick Township police issued an alert shortly after 1 p.m. urging drivers to avoid the area if possible because of the police presence investigating the crash.

The state Department of Transportation traffic website shows Route 70 backed up to Burnt Tavern Road from Van Zile, and there is heavy congestion on nearby roads as well.
