Preschool Lottery Registration Opens For Brick Schools

Parents who are considering preschool options for the fall can register for the school district's lottery, which will be drawn in April.

BRICK, NJ — Parents who are considering preschool for their children in the fall are invited to register for the Brick Township Schools' preschool lottery.

Registration for the lottery opens Monday, Feb. 12, Jennifer Grenger, the district's director of special services, said at Thursday night's Board of Education meeting.

Children who will be 3 years old by Oct. 1, but not 5 years old by Oct. 1, are eligible for the program, which is free. Registration for the preschool lottery closes March 8, she said.

The lottery will be held live on the district's YouTube channel on April 10, Grenger said. There are about 250 spots available for the 2024-25 school year.

The preschool program, which is held at the Herbertsville and Warren H. Wolf Early Childhood Development centers, is funded by grants from the New Jersey Department of Education.
