Six Flags Kissers Set Mistletoe Record, Park Says

The park had 175 couples — 350 kissers — take part in the national attempt, park officials said.

JACKSON, NJ — It was one way to heat up a chilly December night: dozens of couples, puckering up under the mistletoe for a holiday kiss, and in the process, setting a world record, according to Six Flags officials.

All told, 175 couples participated in the event at Six Flags Great Adventure, joining couples at six other Six Flags theme parks across the country to break the record of 402 kissers set previously at Six Flags Over Georgia in 2015.

The event was part of the park's Holiday in the Park celebration.

The 350 guests kissed for at least 10 second under sprigs of live mistletoe. The company did not have a national total available as of Sunday morning.

The parks participating in the mistletoe event were Six Flags Over Georgia, Six Flags Over Texas, Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags St. Louis, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Great Adventure.
