LINDENWOLD, NJ — The winner of a $221 million lottery prize, who purchased the ticket from a South Jersey convenience store, will choose to remain anonymous.

The ticket secured June 10's Powerball jackpot, marking South Jersey's biggest lottery win in a decade. The anonymous winner elected to take the one-time cash payment of $104.7 million, according to NJ Lottery officials.

Preet Food Mart in Lindenwold received $30,000 for selling the ticket. Co-owners Tejinder Singh and Rajvinder Kaur Ghotra, a married couple, plan to use the money to travel. They have never been to Europe, and the prize money gives them many different opportunities.

The ticket secured the fourth-largest lottery prize in South Jersey history and the Garden State's biggest lottery win of the calendar year. However, the $1.13 billion ticket sold at the Jersey Shore in March remains unclaimed as of Monday, according to lottery officials.

A state law passed in 2020 allows lottery winners in New Jersey to remain anonymous. But participants claiming prizes worth $600 or more must present their identity to lottery officials.
