9/11 Commemoration Occurs In Gloucester Township

The event began at noon on Friday at Camden County College's Blackwood campus, a Camden County spokesperson said.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Sept. 11, 2001, commemoration ceremony was held Friday in Gloucester Township at Camden County College's Blackwood campus.

The ceremony contained representatives from more than two dozen local police and law enforcement agencies, fire departments, emergency medical service agencies and United States Armed Forces members, a Camden County spokesperson said.

Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001, including Frank DeMartini of Haddon Heights and Danielle Kousoulis of Haddon Township, according to camdencounty.com.

Camden County's permanent memorials related to Sept. 11. memorials are in Audubon, Bellmawr, Gloucester City, Haddon Township and on Rutgers University's Camden Campus, according to Camden County's website.
