Man Charged With Kidnapping And Sex Assault Of Hudson County Woman
Two weeks after a woman was allegedly grabbed off the street in Hudson County and sexually assaulted, US marshals captured a suspect.
HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — Two weeks after a 40-year-old woman was allegedly grabbed off the street in Hudson County and sexually assaulted, US marshals have captured a suspect.
Ruiz Castro, of West New York, was arrested by US marshals in Hackensack on Friday, Aug. 9 and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and simple assault, prosecutors said. READ MORE: Photos Of 'Person Of Interest' In WNY Sex Assault Released
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said that on Saturday, July 27, a woman said she encountered an unknown man around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Hudson Avenue and 51st Street.

The man "later grabbed her by her hair and then sexually assaulted her," prosecutors said.
Prosecutors had released these photos of a "person of interest" in the assault last Monday.
