Champion driver Madison Boyd, 15, is seeking help to win sponsorships to help fund her quarter-midget racing passion.

MANCHESTER, NJ — At an age where many of her classmates are just dreaming of getting their learner's permits, Madison Boyd has logged thousands of miles behind the wheel.

The 15-year-old, whose mother lives in Manchester and whose father lives in Howell, isn't logging those miles dealing with traffic on the Garden State Parkway or on trips around town, however. Madison, or Maddie as she goes by, is a champion quarter-midget racecar driver.

Boyd, who's a sophomore at Manchester Township High School, started racing at the age of 4 and competes up and down the East Coast, amassing nearly 200 victories in her 11 seasons of racing, she said. Additionally. Boyd is a two-time Eastern Grands National Champion, winning the titles in 2014 in the Heavy Honda and Heavy 160 divisions. She also is the first female driver to win a Speed King trophy presented by Honda, according to a report in Speed Sport magazine.

"I am dedicated and passionate to the sport of Racing. I put countless hours into being the best I can be. Whether I spend those hours working on and preparing race cars that have the ability to win or just simply putting a lot of effort in on race day. So far I have proven that hard work pays off. I am a two-time Eastern Grands National Champion in the Heavy Honda and Heavy 160 divisions. I also have collected 188 A-main wins in 11 seasons in Quarter Midgets. I have also claimed many track championships and track records. Many consider me as one of the best Quarter Midget competitors on the East Coast and I am very proud to have people say that about me. I am not only a winner on the track, but I am a great competitor off the track. I not only help out those who I race against, but also the younger kids. Overall, I think I would be a great candidate to represent TeamChampion because I am a good sport, I have great finishes, and I am a hard worker. Thank you!"
