LACEY, NJ — Millions of Americans have their identities stolen each year. Having your information in the hands of someone else can lead to personal and financial woes. The Ocean County Library Lacey Branch is holding a seminar to help residents avoid being victims of identity theft.

Michael R. Healy, First Vice President and Security Officer of Kearny Bank and a former member of the Irvington Police Department, will provide information designed to help you safeguard vulnerable data that predators on and off the Internet can use to access bank accounts, take over credit cards, create false ID, and other criminal activity, according to a library news release.

There are two seminars on Nov. 14 - one at 1 p.m. and another at 3 p.m. They will be held at the Lacey Branch, 10 E. Lacey Road, Forked River.
