Driver Interrupts Car Burglary Attempt In Livingston: Police

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A driver caught a woman rifling through the glove compartment of his car on Monday in Livingston, interrupting a vehicle burglary in progress, authorities said.

According to the Livingston Police Department, officers responded to an office building on the 200-block of Livingston Avenue at 3:35 p.m.

The owner of the vehicle said that he was getting items out of the back of the car, when he saw a woman rummaging through his glove box. When he confronted her, she fled on foot to an awaiting vehicle, police said.
