LIVINGSTON, NJ — An Essex County dad and Livingston postal worker passed away recently at age 44, says an obituary.

Quentin Q. Christian died on June 23 in his home, surrounded by his loved ones, the obituary says. According to the obituary, he had a chronic heart condition, but was a "fierce warrior" for his family until the end, including his wife, his daughter, and two stepsons.

Christina's family was growing. After his wife's twin sister passed away, Christian and his wife also took care of their two nieces, the obituary says.

"Together the couple worked to raise and care for their newly grown family," the obituary says.

Christian grew up in East Orange and obtained a CDL license to work for a trucking company, but then began a career as a Livingston postal carrier.

"He learned to become a diligent and hardworking carrier," says the obituary. "He formed great relationships with his co-workers with whom he also liked to talk trash. Quentin continued his USPS carrier career until his passing."

"Quentin will always be treasured for his dedication to work and passion for his family. He leaves a legacy of children and laughter filled memories with his family."
