The partnership between Split Level Concerts and JSAC promises to bring nationally and internationally touring Americana and contemporary folk musicians to the Jersey Shore, with local artists opening the shows.

Jeanne Power-Galli, JSAC Director of Events & Programs, stated, “I am extremely excited to bring this stellar lineup of critically acclaimed singer/songwriters to the Arts Center. Mark Klemow, the founder of Split Level Concerts, is known for selecting and booking top-notch artists from around the country. We couldn’t be more thrilled with this new partnership.”

The JSAC offers a wide variety of programming, including visual arts, wellness, dance, theater, and comedy. Power-Galli added, “A concert series of this caliber rounds out our programming in a truly unique way. We’re hoping that the artists we’re featuring will draw an audience not just from our immediate area, but beyond, helping to expand JSAC’s footprint and raise awareness of all we have to offer.”

Split Level Concerts began as a house concert series in 2000 and grew to eventually present shows at the JCC of Central NJ in Scotch Plains and the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway.

“Over the course of twenty years and more than 125 shows, I learned that there’s a tremendous amount of talent out there, often without a lot of name recognition. I’m proud that attendees to Split Level shows developed a trust in us, and would attend shows even if they hadn’t heard of the artists,” said Klemow. “The shows are intimate, and the artists are always willing to hang out after the show and meet fans, old and new. You don’t get that in the big venues.”
