Boston Marathon 2022: See The Ocean County Runners Participating

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Thirty-thousand participants will cross the starting line on Monday at the 2022 Boston Marathon. Eleven of those competing in the 126th running of the race are Ocean County residents.

For the first time since 2019, the Boston Marathon will take place on Patriots' Day — a Massachusetts holiday commemorating the opening battles of the American Revolutionary War. The day begins with military marchers at 6 a.m., with several waves of athletes beginning the race in Hopkinton throughout the morning.

The following runners live in Ocean County, according to the Boston Athletic Association, which hosts the marathon:

  • Download the Boston Athletic Association's racing app, which is free on iPhone and Android devices.
  • Follow along on the BAA website, which will change Monday to allow people to track runners on race day.
  • Sign up for AT&T text alerts, which will text you when your favorite athlete reaches certain race milestones and crosses the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.
