Calling all bakers, gardeners and crafters! It's time to start planning your entries into the 2019 Monmouth County Fair Home & Garden event.

Calling all bakers, gardeners and crafters! It’s time to start planning your entries into the 2019 Monmouth County Fair Home & Garden Competition. Staff will accept entries of art, photos, crafts, canning, needlework and honey on Sunday, July 21 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. and on Monday, July 22 from 8-11 a.m. Entries from Senior Centers and Adult Day Programs will be accepted on Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Flower and vegetable entries should be delivered to the Fairgrounds on Friday, July 26 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Baked goods should be delivered to the Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 27 from 8-11 a.m.

After judging, the entries in the Home & Garden Competition can be seen at the 45th annual Monmouth County Fair. The Fair runs Wednesday-Sunday, July 24-28. The Fair gate is open 5-11 p.m. on Wednesday-Friday, July 24-26; 11 a.m.-11 p.m. on Saturday, July 27; and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 at East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold Township. Admission is $8 per person. Children 12 and under are free. Be sure to follow the Monmouth County Park System on social media. The Monmouth County Fair is organized and presented by the Monmouth County Park System in cooperation with the Monmouth County 4-H Association. The Monmouth County Park System, created in 1960 by the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, is Monmouth County’s Open Space, Parks and Recreation agency.
