Glassblowing Instructors Wanted!! (Full & Part Time)

The Morris County School of Glass is looking for an experienced glass blower to help with our ever increasing demands and student volumes.

*Must have at least 3 years glass blowing experience

*Experience in teaching is preferred but not required

*Hand skills and positive attitude are a must

Daily Tasks:

• Keep the studio in proper working order
• Uphold studio safety rules and procedures
• Prepare studio for classes or rentals:
• Equipment startup / shut-down, bench preparedness and other any other studio needs
• Assist teachers and renters with any special needs
• Answer phones as needed
• Be informed and knowledgeable of all process, rules, regulations, upcoming events, programs, and classes and be prepared to answer any questions
• Charge furnace

Customer Service:

• Greet any walk-in customers
• Be the friendly and helpful face of MCSOG at all times
• Help facilitate tours and demos
• Help students retrieve work

Teaching:

• Teach most of the six-week courses, and the shorter classes as needed

Glassblowing/ Product Development:

• Cold work student work as needed
• Assist in production
