Missing Morris Man Last Seen In Upstate NY After Taking Bus: Police

The 20-year-old is believed to have boarded a bus from New York City on Feb. 29, and police are looking to make sure he is safe.

ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Morris County man is missing after taking a bus to upstate New York several weeks ago, officials said.

Police in the village of Saranac Lake, NY said they received information from Rockaway Township Police that Adam Ishak may be in their area. He has not been located as of Monday morning.

Rockaway Township police said Ishak left his home around 3 a.m. on Feb. 29 wearing a blue ski jacket. He does not drive and was not carrying identification, officials said. Ishak reportedly told his mother she was going to the airport and that she shouldn't worry, police said.

The 20-year-old is believed to have boarded a bus from New York City to Saranac Lake on the morning of Feb. 29, according to police. It is possible he arrived in the village around 2:30 p.m. that same day.

According to Rockaway Police, Ishak's mother said he may be on the autism spectrum but has not been diagnosed.

Saranac Lake is in the boundaries of Adirondack Park, about 9 miles west of Lake Placid.
