Tree Worker Electrocuted Working On Morris Co. Power Line: Police

Police and first responders got the worker out of the tree and rushed him to Morristown Medical Center, where he later died, officials said.

MONTVILLE, NJ — A tree worker was fatally electrocuted Thursday after coming into contact with a power line while working in Montville, officials said.

Police were called to 95 Taylortown Road around 3:48 p.m. Thursday, according to Police Chief Andrew Caggiano. They found the man, who has not been identified, still in the tree.

The Montville Fire Department, Morris County EMS, and Jersey City Power and Light also responded to the scene, Caggiano said.
