POINT PLEASANT, NJ — A Monmouth County man has been arrested after he tried to use credit cards from a wallet dropped by another man at a Point Pleasant store, police said.

The incident happened June 19 and was among the police blotter items for June reported by Point Pleasant Capt. Christopher Leonhardt.

Christopher Musiolowski, 43, of Wall, was arrested and charged with theft and credit card theft, Leonhardt said, in the incident. Police Officer Evan Feldman took the report of the lost wallet about 3:10 p.m. on June 19.

The victim said his wallet, containing cards and cash, fell during checkout at a Point Pleasant drug store. It was taken by a man, seen on store surveillance, Leonhardt said. After that, several unauthorized attempts were made to use the credit cards, and the victim called police to report the lost wallet.

Point Pleasant detectives investigated and arrested Musiolowski, who was served with a complaint summons and released.
