Breeze Airways Doubles Flights From Islip To Vero Beach, Florida

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — Budget airline Breeze Airways is doubling up on flights from Long Island MacArthur Airport to Vero Beach, Florida, the Town of Islip announced Wednesday.

According to the town, returning service from Islip to Vero Beach will double to four times weekly starting in October.

Flights from Islip to Vero Beach will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays starting on October 2, according to a press release.

"MacArthur Airport is the only airport in the New York City area offering nonstop flights to Florida's Treasure Coast. Adding service four times weekly with affordable fares is a game changer for Long Island residents with family and vacation homes in Vero Beach, visitors to Long Island, and travelers looking for a fun and easy way to get to a gorgeous stretch of Florida with 'Seriously Nice' Breeze Airways service," said Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken.

The announcement falls on the heels of the Breeze's announcement of its new round-trip flights from MacArthur Aiport to Fort Myers, Florida, the Town of Isip revealed in June.

Beginning in October, Breeze will fly two times weekly to and from Fort Myers on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the airline confirmed while sharing all the details with Patch.
