NEW YORK — If you're looking for a cheap date, it might just be less about who you're asking out and more about where you're going out.

With Valentine's Day shortly approaching, the betting site, NewYorkBets.com, just put out a list of "The Most Affordable Date Night Cities In New York." To come up with their list, the authors said that they used Numbeo data, which collected info on the average cost of a meal, a bottle of wine, the starting price of a cab, and the cost of a three-mile cab trip.

New Rochelle was crowned New York's most affordable date night city, where the website claims the average meal cost is $40, a bottle of wine is $18.88, and the total taxi cost is $12.25. New Rochelle locals know that while this budget-friendly night out is certainly possible, it might require a Groupon and a very, very, very, short cab ride.

The average meal cost in Yonkers is $65, a bottle of wine is $15, and the total taxi cost is $8.79, according to NewYorkBets. Meanwhile, the website determined the average meal cost in Mount Vernon is $65, a bottle of wine is $10.99, and the total taxi cost is $13.50.
