NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New York City's Joe Coffee company will be taking its first foray into Westchester County this summer, opening in a new mixed-use residential tower in downtown New Rochelle.

The company was founded in 2003 by Jonathon Rubinstein and his family in NYC's West Village. They currently have 24 cafes in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Joe Coffee roasts all of their own coffee beans at their roastery in Long Island City.

"For many years we have wanted to expand into Westchester and continued to look for the perfect city where our coffee, brand and focus on community would be embraced," Rubinstein said. "When we explored New Rochelle and saw this beautiful property, we knew we had found the right place."

Joe Coffee's signature house coffee, known as The Daily, will be available on drip. The company's signature espresso, The Waverly, which was named after their first cafe in NYC's Greenwich Village, will serve as the base for all of their espresso drinks.

In addition to classic beverages, Joe Coffee will also serve a daily rotating Featured Single Origin drip coffee, selected from a curated roster of seasonal single origin roasts. They will also serve specialty seasonal beverages developed through the company's internal barista competitions. Joe Coffee will have a range of other drinks such as matcha, turmeric and chai lattes. Light fare will be served for breakfast or afternoon snacks. A wine and beer menu is expected to be added later in the year.
