NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle family can rest easier tonight. Neyson Estela has been found safe.

"We have located Neyson Estela," the New Rochelle Police Department said in a statement posted on social media Sunday night. "He has been returned to his family and is currently in the hospital being cared for. Thank you to all the people who shared the post."

The circumstances of 20-year-old's last confirmed sighting were not encouraging. On Saturday, Estela was last spotted near pier 84, on the Hudson River in New York City. He was seen running northbound after he had taken off his backpack and shirt.

The news was especially disheartening because Estela was said to be acting paranoid, and had earlier told his brother that people were following him, according to authorities. He had also posted a cryptic message on social media, saying "BYE" to his family.
