Pleasantville HS Grad Is Patriot League Rookie of the Week

Drew Dorflinger, Pleasantville High School Class of 2016, was named Rookie of the Week by the Patriot League.

From Bucknell University: Freshman Drew Dorflinger, a member of the Bucknell men’s track and field team, was named M-F Athletic Patriot League Male Rookie of the Week on Tuesday following a strong performance at the Nittany Lion Challenge.

Bucknell went up against some top competition in their first road meet of the year, including No. 15 Cornell, No. 20 Penn State, Connecticut, Central Connecticut, Maryland, Georgetown, Pittsburgh and Villanova.
Running in the 3,000-meter race for the first time in a Bison uniform, the rookie finished third in a field of 14 runners with a time of 8:27.42. His time is tied for fifth-fastest in the Patriot League and is the top mark by a freshman.
The Bison return to action Saturday to host the Gulden Invitational at Gerhard Fieldhouse, their third home meet of the year.
