Pair Nabbed In Long Island Speedy Mart Robbery With Ghost Gun: Cops

The male suspect was caught with a Polymer80 when the two were apprehended in a traffic stop, Suffolk police say.

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, NY — A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the use of a ghost gun during a Port Jefferson Station Speedy Mart and Gas robbery on Friday, Suffolk police said.

The man approached an employee of the Route 112 location, waved a gun, and demanded cash, at around 9:21 p.m., police said, adding that the clerk complied, and the man took off on foot to a vehicle waiting down the street.

The clerk was unharmed.

Canvasing the area, a patrol unit officer stopped two people, one of whom matched the male suspect’s description and during his investigation, he found a Polymer80 ghost gun on the male suspect, police said.

A ghost gun does not have any serial number so it is untraceable.

The pair were taken into custody at the intersection of Joline Road and Newport Drive in Port Jefferson Station just before 10 p.m., according to police.

Detectives charged Javon Holliday, 21, of Riverhead, and Giavanna Pergola, 19, of Port
Jefferson Station, with first-degree robbery.

They are being held overnight at the 6th Precinct in Selden pending arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
