Suspect Swiped Nearly $1K Worth Of Clothes From T.J. Maxx On Long Island: Cops

It happened on March 27, and 6th Precinct Crime Section officers are investigating, Suffolk police say.

PORT JEFFERSON, NY — A suspect swiped nearly $1,000 from T.J. Maxx in Port Jefferson Station in March, Suffolk police said Tuesday.

The man stole clothing valued at around $990 from T.J. Maxx on Nesconset Highway on March 27, according to police.

In an image from security video, the man can be seen wearing a royal blue pullover and a black Nike baseball cap.

The crime has been classified petty larceny.
