All blizzard and winter storm warnings have now been canceled for the island, but the National Weather Service has issued the following special weather statement:

Temperatures will fall below freezing quickly this evening as winds shift to the northwest behind the departing storm. Residual slush will freeze, resulting in icy roads and walkways. Where there is no snow and slush, areas of black ice can be expected to develop. Extra caution should be used if out tonight.
