Port Outdoors Kicks Off May 19 In Port Washington

PORT WASHINGTON, NY — Port Outdoors — a monthly event featuring shopping, dining, and live music on Port Washington's Main Street — returns Thursday, May 19.

The Port Washington Chamber of Commerce's series runs every third Thursday from May to October. It's organized by the Port Washington Business Improvement District, the Chamber of Commerce, Landmark on Main Street, Residents Forward, and the Port Washington Police District.

Portions of Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic during Port Outdoors, which will run between 5 and 10 p.m.

Here's the street closure schedule:

Upper Main Street & Port Commons

(From Port Washington Blvd to Mackey Avenue)

• May 19
• July 21
• Sept. 15

The main stage will be located at the LIRR station on Main Street.

Middle & Lower Main Street

(From Central Drive to Shore Road)

• June 16
• Aug. 18
• Sept. 22

The main stage will be located at Blumenfeld Park on Main Street.
